Hi. My name is Elizabeth. I live in NYC with my husband, two sons, and a kitten. I’m a writer, journalist, and editor, depending on what project I’m working on. And, as the sister of one of two boys whose stories were cribbed together for the movie “The Boy in the Plastic Bubble,” I’m a veteran of an unusual childhood. I grew up in a hospital, watching my older brother, Ted, navigate the world, while confined to a sterile room, after he was diagnosed with aplastic anemia, an immune deficiency disorder, at age nine. He died when he was 17. Everything I’ve ever learned about embracing struggle comes from him.
